Named Iowa’s Best Online Bachelor’s Programs by U.S. News & World Report, Mount Mercy University helps students earn their bachelor’s degree in health care leadership through a fast-track, two-year program. This track is taught by experienced online instructors and built for those who have an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in an Allied Health profession from an accredited community college.
For those interested in becoming a health care leader but do NOT have an associate degree, check out MMU’s Health Care Administration bachelor’s degree. It’s a similar degree, but is specifically designed to help you master both technical and administrative skills.
Add to your current technical skills with specialized instruction in administration, strategic planning, and management so you can take on leadership positions in health care.
Health care leadership/administration is one of the fastest-growing professions, with high demand for well-trained individuals who have a strong understanding of the legal, economic, and social constraints and complexities within the health care system.
Whether you work in a large hospital, midsize clinic, or small medical facility, your degree will easily translate into your role as a health care leader, where you’ll make critical decisions that lead to a positive impact on medical processes and patient care.
You can view your classes any time during a given week, and weekly deadlines help you stay on track.
Classes are offered online in accelerated 5- and 10-week courses. We offer nine start dates per year so you can begin coursework (and graduate) faster.
And speaking of graduating faster, we help you get a head start on grad school, if that’s in your life plan. You can take up to 12 credits that will count toward both your undergraduate degree and a future graduate degree.
